Cucuco

Hello! I admit, I have been a perfectly horrible blogger lately. Let's just say I'm more than enthused about my school work lately and I was and still am dealing with some family things.

Good News x2: I now have a Graphic Design internship + I have a lovely collection to share with you :D Rachel, of Adore More and Cucuco (etsy) was sweet enough to ask me to promote her new accessories line (this was the good news I mentioned in my last, ancient post). So click on one of those links or on this graphic.

She sent me this lovely headband. Which seriously, no doubt beats out any silly three dollar F21 in and out purchase (which I know, just happens when you're rushed and feeling the need for something cute in your hair). You can tell Rachel's things are made with love :) You can see this original post here where she posted up these photos a little bit ago.

Eeeee. The headband is named after meeee. I squeed when I saw that. Not to mention, if you scroll through Adore More, you can see a few other guest posts. Not going to lie–I definitely have my eyes on this. The pieces are so wonderfully crafted. Pleeease take a looksie :D

Guest Post at Just Take a Bow

Hello lovelies. I'm just dropping in to say that I'm guest posting over at Just Take a Bow today. Sarah is one of my best real-life friends and I miss her. Lucky for me (not for her), she is coming back soon.

Weekend Away Guest Post: Kate

I have a series of guest posters lined up for my little weekend away. One of Robert's projects got into a film festival in Seattle, so that is where I am. All of the guest posters will be answering questions about a dreamy weekend trip. I'm cheating a little by posting this now, since it's Monday, but I definitely also need today to catch up from my weekend :)

My final guest is Kate, of Postcards From. She is definitely one of my favorite bloggers because she's able to flawlessly pull of a look that's equal parts edgy and sweet.

Hi friends! This is Kate Maggie reporting to you live from the blogosphere! I blog over at 'Postcards From' and am so so excited to be guest blogging on Lea's blog this weekend! She sent me a fun list of questions for my dream weekend (while she is off having the time of her life on her very own weekend getaway!) Lets get started shall we...

If you could get away to anywhere fictional for a weekend, where would you go?

I had to think long and hard about this question! Its a toss up between Hogwarts and Neverland. Hard decision right? I know! I think I would say Never Land. I would just absolutely love to go there for a weekend and play with the lost boys.

Who (real or fictional) would you bring?

I would probably bring my celebrity crush, Matthew Gray Gubler, just because I know he would be so much fun to hang out with in Never Land. Second would be my Dad, because I just never ever get sick of him.

What would you do there?

What wouldn't I do there?! There would be indulgence is way too many cheeseburgers, lemonade stands, endless candy and water balloon fights. It would be the absolute time of my life!

What sort of music playlist would you need?

Ooooh, good question! When I 'fly' over to Never Land with Tink by my side, I would probably share my Ipod with her and we would jam to Vampire Weekend or Stars. The whole weekend would be filled with happy indie songs, the type that make you want to dance and never really stop.

& last but not least, what would you wear? (from an old outfit, or new, whichever you’d like)

I can never leave the house without my trusty leather jacket, and of course I would want to seem intimidating and bad ass to Captain Cook so I would wear a leather jacket, but still keep it feminine and sweet to catch the eye of peter pan with a girly dress. Oh man, can this become a reality, like tomorrow?!

Thanks so much for reading my guest post lovelies. Hurry back Lea, we miss you!! xxx

Dress - Swap with Selective Potential
Flats - Aldo
Leather Jacket - Suzy Shier

Weekend Away Guest Post: Marisa Violeta

I have a series of guest posters lined up for my little weekend away. One of Robert's projects got into a film festival in Seattle, so that is where I am. All of the guest posters will be answering questions about a dreamy weekend trip.

My next guest poster is Marisa Violeta, of Green Grass & Black Clouds. She has adorable glasses and is super sweet. She is one of my favorites, so I was incredibly happy when she said she would guest post for me.

1. If you could get away to anywhere fictional for a weekend, where would you go?

I’d go to a village full of flowers and with a little river. In that place I’d have a house made of wood, with a fireplace, red carpets and green curtains. Next to my house I’d have an apple tree and yard bench so I can sit there, listen to the birds and drink tea.

2. Who (real or fictional) would you bring?

I’d bring Anna Karina and Brigitte Bardot so we could have a girly time.

3. What would you do there?

I’d do picnics next to the river, lay in the grass and look at the sky, listen to lovely songs in the yard while drinking apple and cinnamon tea, watch french movies in the sofa, read novels, cook cupcakes and not care about time.

4. What sort of music playlist would you need?

I’d listen to Beach House and The Smiths because without them my life ain’t complete. But Lykke Li, Mercury Rev, Beirut and Camera Obscura would be present too.

5. & lastly, what would you wear?

In that weekend I'd like to wear something simple and relaxed so I guess my vintage flowered blouse and my favorite black skirt from Zara would be the perfect choice to pick flowers and to enjoy life away from the city.

Weekend Away Guest Post: Veronika

As promised, I have a series of guest posters lined up for my little weekend away. One of Robert's projects for into a film festival in Seattle, so that is where I am. All of the guest posters will be answering questions about a dreamy weekend trip. First up is Veronika, from Girl & Closet. She's super sweet and has an amazing blog, so check her out (even though you probably already have).

If you could get away to anywhere fictional for a weekend, where would you go?

I have recently discovered and fallen in love with Herefordshire, England. I’m absolutely smitten with the gorgeous countryside, rolling hills, beautiful bridges, and old homes & trees. I love visiting places that have history and charm. It’s so nostalgic and has a kind of fabulous romance to it. I’m originally from Europe, so it resonates with me and reminds me of home.

Who (real or fictional) would you bring?

Honestly? My idea of a perfect vacation involves my hubby and our adorable pooch! As for fictional, I would have to say Anne of Green Gables, as written by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I was obsessed with those books as a teen, and the character has such a vivid imagination; she would be the perfect person to go on an exploration with.

What would you do there?

I would love to go on picnics, take pictures (the scenery is stunning there), and explore neighbourhood pubs & restaurants. And I would also love to see all of the old castles, churches, and visit the amazing gardens.

What sort of music playlist would you need?

Say Hi, Shout Out Louds, Au Revoir Simone, She & Him, Pixies, The Cure, Empire of The Sun, Saint Etienne, and many more... I could go on. I adore music and have a pretty massive collection, but these artists would definitely be near the top of my playlist.

& last but not least, what would you wear?

I would wear my (beloved) recently thrifted sweater and modcloth skirt, but I would probably leave the platforms at home. Depending on the season, I would either settle for ballet slippers or a pair of knee length flat vintage boots. And I now officially want to book that ticket to England...

Hope you’re having a fabulous vacation, Lea! And thank you for letting me chat with your readers. Great to meet you guys, and be sure to pop on over to Girl & Closet and say hi! xx veronika
