I am so jealous of everyone out there in bloggerland that can wear skirts and dresses without tights. Because here in Oregon, April showers mean bipolar spurts of stormy rain, hail and lots of wind. It's gray and dreary, but it's at least promising that the trees are starting to have leaves again.
I want to note that I never find jeans I love. All of mine except for one or two pairs are those super cheap, thin $10.50 ones from Forever 21. I keep telling myself i'll find nice jeans that are a bit more expensive, but I never end up liking them as much... I don't feel as free to move about as in the cheapo ones. Plus, I'm short and have relatively large calves. Any suggestions?
My outfit does not look springy because it does not feel springy :(
No pretty pastels for me today. I know I've worn these shoes in my pictures before, but I've never given a detail shot--so here you go. They're perfect for everyday with the tiny little wedgy heel.
And then this PERFECT little cropped vintage jacket--it is in pristine condition and fits me just right. It's a little military, which I don't really do, but more in a kitschy marching band way, which is okay by me (I did colorguard/winterguard in high school, for those of you who know what that is). I love the little black buttons and curved collar.
Off to work. It'll be a busy weekend for me: work Saturday + Sunday, and then due on monday: 40% of my Architecture History grade (in form of group presentation) due + two different graphics projects. Ah! So bye :)

I love your shoes and jacket! The weather here is totally bipolar here as well. On monday, it was sunny and 70's, but tuesday was freezing and rainy! Oh well!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving those shoes!!
ReplyDeleteIn regards to jeans, my advice would be: Go to Nordstroms and try on a billion jeans and find out which brand and size works for you. Write it down and start going to consignment stores and looking for that brand and size. I've found that J Brands work really well for me and I go to Buffalo Exchange often and look for them and once in a while I luck out. Great way to find quality, nice fitting jeans for less than a fraction of the price!

you're a darn good thrifter ^^ I only own one pair of jeans, it's a levis skinny. I love it. But Levis seems to be made for super long people only... I am 1m75 and even I had to shorten the pipes :) x

I hope better weather finds you soon. I buy a lot of jeans from the Gap. Not too expensive but a little nicer than cheap jeans.

There are so few people who can make jeans look chic and classy. I envy you! Whenever I put on jeans, I look like a slob. Lovely combination as always!

Love the blazer, Lea. It's appropriate for the "springy" weather you're describing:) And I'm the same way with jeans. I can never find a pair i LOVE. I have never found that pair of jeans either. There are a few that are close, but not really. hahaha.

I'm glad that the kitty made you happy:)) you're welcome:)
ReplyDeletenice blog, hate april showers too!!
That blazer is pretty awesome! Such nice details.
ReplyDeleteI find jeans a bit difficult too, but I tend to have a lot of good luck with Levi's. Their best jeans are in their stores and at Urban; the ones at Kohl's etc. kind of suck.
I don't want to move to PDX because I know there's no way I could deal with that rain. What a downer! Hope the sun comes out soon :)
xoxo
You look so cute =) I love your blazer! The cut is fantastic and the length is perfect. I'm so in love with your shoes too, they're so pretty and fabulous!!!!

Don't worry I have those same pants and they are my favorite! As long as you don't wash them so much they should be fine!
ReplyDeleteI know how you mean about the weather. I'm in California and it's still too cold (for me at least) to wear dresses without tights!
sorry about the weather but you are looking cute! i love your shoes alot! the blazer go great with your jeans
ReplyDeleteHere in Portugal the weather is kind of weird too. It's been really hot lately but my mom just said that is going to rain in a few days and I already feel the cold weather coming. Goodbye life free of tights! :(
ReplyDeleteI love those jeans on you! I wish a had any pair of jeans that I liked but they always seem to look awful on me, or not comfy enough. Oh, and you look really lovely Lea! :)
♥I love your blog so much.)) ♥
ReplyDeletecutie pie! you are rockin' those jeans. i'm the same way, jeans are so hard to find and man..the process is no fun, as far as im concerned. i dont want to buy a pair of jeans that are so low rise they go down to my crotch! Also: I have hips and I'm not really tall so its just a long tedious process. I usually get mine at Gap, the workers there know my sizes and they make it fun and painless for me. Try looking there! I know they're a bit pricey (59.50 to 69.50) but when they are on sale its totally worth it because you can usually get 2 for the price of one.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are ADORABLE. And I'm the worst jean finder ever. I seriously wore two pairs for an entire semester. It's awful!
ReplyDeletecute, cute. love those shoes AND those chairs haha. don't fret, sunny days are on their way :) happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteFor jeans I WOULD suggest Levis but I don't know, i'm not feelin this whole Curve ID thing they have going on and I am so sad they got rid of the majority of their old cuts! I like this brand called AG but it's only worth buying the pants if you get them on sale (I found a pair for $40 at Anthropologie so try there). Good luck with the pants quest! :)
